Each Themes
To Remember book with CD
(Volume 1 and Volume 2)
consists of a hard-cover,
124+ page Smyth-sewn library-quality book with
an included compact disk designed to teach recognition
of 40 classical music
themes.
The themes are taught through lyrics (written by
the author) that make it fun, educational, and
easy to learn. |
| Each book is fully
illustrated with children in mind. Piano, a quiet
little cat, and Forte, a rather loud little dog,
accompany children throughout the books. Among other
themes, Volume 1 features
Grieg's Peer Gynt Suite and
Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake.
Volume 2 features all four of
Vivaldi's Four Seasons,
Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite and
Stravinsky's Firebird Suite. |
|
|
Each volume also includes definitions of musical terms and notations
of the themes.
The CD tracks include the classical music themes without lyrics,
then with lyrics, to aid in learning and for "name that theme" type games.
Click on the List of Themes button for a list of the
themes covered by each book/CD.

Classical Karaoke
for Kids, a third hard-cover
library-quality book with CD covering 37 additional
classical music
themes.
It uses the same format as the Themes
To Remember volumes. In addition to Piano
and Forte, this volume also features Adagio, the
cat, and Allegro, the mouse, in Haydn's Clock Symphony.
(Of course, Adagio never catches Allegro because
Allegro is always faster than Adagio!).
(The product requires a CD player, not a Karaoke machine.)
